Planetary Annihilation Gameplay Summary:

Match 1

Some very exciting Planetary Annihilation gameplay. Lots of action and raiding on all sides of the planet.

I’m really enjoying the ability to view player’s field of view and build orders. It’s a fantastic fantastic addition to the game.

Also enjoyed Grep’s overview with the stats. Provides a nice overview of the importance of expansion and unit choice.

Planetary Annihilation Lessons, Tips, and Tricks (spoilers)

This match really goes to show how much of a boost Vehicles have taken. They can now track Bots, making bots much less useful in direct confrontation. Now Bots are only really useful as raiding units, and Vehicles are clear kings when it comes to unit confrontation.

This match also really goes to show how great bots are for early game, but vehicles are great for mid to late game.

Match 2

The second match in this Planetary Annihilation tournament match was also very exciting. Some fun Commander dueling as well.

Planetary Annihilation Lessons, Tips, and Tricks (spoilers)

Use choke points to your advantage. Build defensive structures between terrain choke points, like craters, cracks, mountains, lakes, and the like.

Brilliant use of that Skitter to provide valuable scouting intel. I think I’m going to steal that strategy.

The Commander’s Uber Cannon requires energy to operate. If you don’t have enough energy, it won’t fire.
