Planetary Annihilation Gameplay Summary:

A fairly unique Planetary Annihilation match as ZaphodX’s teammate leaves less than a minute into the match turning this into an exciting back and forth 2v1. Lots of units, lots of explosions. Exactly what we’d expect from a Planetary Annihilation match.

Planetary Annihilation Lessons, Tips, and Tricks (spoilers)

I love ZaphodX’s proxy base at the back of their bases. A nasty surprise for any defender. It allowed him to deal some crushing flanking attacks. He did a pretty impressive job managing multiple attacks at once – which are really difficult to defend against, even with two players.

Suiciding a commander can be very helpful, but also completely pointless if done incorrectly. ZaphodX should have brought his army in with his commander and the commander would have survived, especially if he had some fabricators repairing the commander.

The match really shows how effective Levelers are against Laser Defense Towers – or anything for that matter. Since levelers out range Laser Defense Turrets and have such high damage, they can easily and quickly destroy them without any losses.

Planetary Annihilation is such a great game due it’s large scale combat. Who cares if you lose chunks of your base. Continue expanding and attacking and it doesn’t make a difference.

Catapults are effective defense towers, but they’re often considered to be cheap or noobish. They key is to use them as a supplemental strategy rather than how you plan on winning. Also, due to their high damage, a cluster of Catapults can do serious damage when force fired.
