Planetary Annihilation Gameplay Summary:

This was an interesting Planetary Annihilation match with lots of mistakes from several players. Good commentary from masterofroflness pointing out the mistakes and what whould have been done. Some very nice camera shots from masterofroflness.

Lessons (spoilers)

Scouting, both early and late, is very important. You need to know where your enemy is as quickly as possible so you know where to defend, and so you can raid. Don’t scout with your army. Scout planes and skitters are fast with a large field of view.

Never stop building building. Don’t let your factories sit idle. Black and Orange could have been doing great if he had actually built units.

Your commander is powerful. He can take out a fairly large T1 ant army, especially if your commander is supported by a small Ant force.

Don’t go for T2 too early. You need to have a strong army to defend so you don’t get overwhelmed.

Expand!!! b0t0 would have not been hurt at all by that commander explosion if he had expanded. Always expand your economy and production.

Always attack and raid. freddithegamer would have been doing much better if he actually used his military.

Your commander is faster and more efficient than fabricators – always have him building. Even if he’s just building energy. Anti-air is also a good thing to build – keep yourself from getting sniped.
