Planetary Annihilation Gameplay Summary:

A great Planetary Annihilation match for the King of Alpha Tournament. Action starts pretty early and is very back and forth. Both sides did an excellent job attacking on multiple fronts.

Planetary Annihilation Lessons, Tips, and Tricks (spoilers)

Oxide (Black) did a great a fantastic job of building an early army and started with some very effective early raiding causing mceldowney to take some painful losses but did a good job fending them off and launching counter attacks.

Oxide’s early step up to Advanced Units gave him an advantage, though he did a poor job microing those Slammers and using them to their full advantage. Slammers don’t do well in or against large vehicle blobs. Slammers are ideal flanking units due to their speed and damage. Slammers will cause massive amounts of damage to unprotected flanks or metal expansions. Mceldowney did a good job using Slammers to their full advantage.

Build Laser Defense Towers at your Metal Extractor expansions so you don’t lose them to a lone tank or fabricator.

Building Advanced Factories on the frontline can be very helpful in having units close to the front, or they can be a poor choice as you can lose them causing big setbacks.

Both sides had some Radar coverage but mceldowney did a very poor job at radar coverage while Oxide had better radar coverage, giving Oxide’s Levelers an advantage.
