Lots of BIG balance changes are coming to Planetary Annihilation! Units are having massive changes and rebalances. Uber seems to be putting an emphasis on unit diversity.

  • T1 AA bot removed from game.
  • T2 Tactical Missile Bot Added to the game.
  • T2 Bomber is now a slow flying, hovering, Tactical Missile plane that can out-range defenses.
  • Tactical Missile Launcher fires faster, requires not energy and shortened range.
  • T2 Sniper Bot can now shoot down Tactical Missiles.
  • T2 Tanks have very slow turning turrets, but much more health and damage.
  • T1 Assault Bots run much faster.
  • T1 Bomb Bots run much faster.
  • T2 Fighter removed from game.
  • T1 Fighter improved.
  • T1 Bomber carpet bombs.
  • Naval hasn’t been balanced much yet.
  • These balance changes will be coming to the PTE real soon. Quite possibly today.
  • Hummingbirds can survive several shots. So their health has been increased, or their damage decreased.
  • The carpet bombing bumblebees can take out several fabbers with one pass.
  • There’s still the bug (at least I consider it a bug) where aircraft just stop instantly when their target is destroyed.
  • New explosions have been added, particularly aircraft explosions are different.
  • The costs of Advanced have been adjusted to be viable.
  • Hummingbirds are now the only air to air fighters. Since the Peregrine was “redundant.”
  • Lots of new sounds, including gunships, missile defense towers, and probably more.
  • Air Forces flying over an enemy base, dropping bombs, getting shot down, etc look AWESOME. The new explosions and whatnot just make it look so much more awesome.
  • Finishes with a planet smash!
