Not an overly exciting playtest, feature wise. The gameplay was pretty good with a lot of interplanetary nukes, but not much new stuff was added – pretty much all bug fixes.

  • Lots and lots of bug fixes.
    • Fixes to lobbies
    • Fixes to joining games
    • Server fixes
  • The AI seems to be even meaner, expanding farther, faster.
  • The AI uses interplanetary nukes! That’s awesome! Not the smartest use of nukes… but it’s a step forward!
  • Wow the AI builds TONS of nukes.
  • The loading planets bug hasn’t been completely fixed. Improved, but not completely fixed. They’re working on pre-loading systems.
  • They’re working on making formations more “stable.” Probably means better movement around terrain and whatnot.
  • Advanced Fabricators getting stuck because of basic fabricators has not been fixed yet. Meta will bring it up and hopefully make it a priority.
  • Late game framerate seems to have improved, both client side and server side.
  • Chrono Cam seems to be more stabile. Not sure if that’s because of luck, or because of actual improvements.
  • Fixes to planet smashing.
  • It’s possible to manually choose how many Halleys are required to move a planet.
