Info

The Advanced Radar Satellite is the advanced version of the Radar Satellite. The Advanced Radar Satellite provides a small radius of the planet’s surface, as well as a large area of surface and orbital radar coverage.

Unlike the ground based Radars, Radar Satellites can move and can be parked above an opponent’s base, providing intel.

The Advanced Radar Satellite must be built by an Orbital Fabrication Bot.

History

The Advanced Radar Satellite was added in the release of beta, in build 54357.

In the Build 59549, several changes were made. The biggest change is that can no longer provide a massive radius of direct line of sight of the planet’s surface.

  • Metal Cost: 39500 -> 3600
  • Health: 6750 -> 2000
  • Energy Consumption: 13000 -> 2400
  • Move Speed: 150 -> 5
  • Brake Rate: 2 -> 1
  • Surface Radar Range: 2350 -> 600
  • Surface Sight Range: 2350 -> 100
  • Orbital Radar Range: 800 -> 600
  • Orbital Sight Radius: 250 -> 100
  • Can no longer move from planet to planet

In the Planetary Annihilation Build 61250, several changes were made.

  • Metal Cost: 3600 -> 2400
  • Acceleration: 1 -> 10 m/s/s
  • Brake Rate: 1 -> 10 m/s/s
  • Move Speed: 5 -> 10 m/s
  • Turn Speed: 5 -> 90 deg/s
  • Energy Use: 2400 -> 9000E
  • Radar Range – Surface & Air: 600 -> 1000 m
  • Sight Range – Surface & Air: 100 -> 600 m
  • Radar Range – Orbital: 600 -> 1200 m
  • Sight Range – Orbital: 100 -> 600 m

In the 67342 Build the build cost was changed from 5,300 metal to 4,800 metal.
