Info

The Hornet is a slow moving aircraft that fires long range, homing tactical missiles. The Hornet can hover and outrange all anti-air defenses.

They are very vulnerable to all forms of anti-air. A group of patrolling fighters can easily take out incoming Hornets.

History

In the 54357/54382 update, several changes were made.

  • Health was changed from 40 to 400
  • Damage was changed from 1,000 to 350
  • Projectile velocity was changed from 150 to 75
  • Bomb lifetime changed from 2 to 5
  • Splash radius was changed from 2 to 10
  • Range was changed from 50 to 70
  • Rate of fire was changed from 1 to 3
  • Ammo capacity was changed from 12,000 to 20,000
  • The Hornet’s bombs can now target submersible units

In the 57703 build, the following changes were made.

  • Guard Radius: 200 -> 100
  • Bomb Initial Velocity: 75 -> 35
  • Bomb Max Velocity: 75 -> 35
  • Ammo Capacity: 20000 (600/shot) -> 9000 (900/shot)

In the 67342 Build, several changes were made.

  • Build Cost: 2,160 metal to 1,200 metal

  • Can now hover
